My name is Dean (Pitmaster) and my lovely bride is Patti (Blue Nose Mama). We are originally from New York and after a career in the maritime industry we moved to the Crabbs Prairie area of Walker County Texas where we adopted the southern way of life. While being a volunteer firefighter and rescue swimmer, we became entrenched in the BBQ arena. The aura of bonding with fellow Texan firefighters of the Crabbs Prairie VFD over delicious smoked BBQ deeply inspired us to master our culinary craft and share it with others.

Over indulging in smoked meats on the tailgate of your truck and by the firepit with your best buddies and their seemingly bottomless bellies is what we miss the most about living in rural Texas. We feel it is our purpose to bring this experience to our new found home in New Hampshire. As time goes by we have noted a loyal following; “Blue Nosers” which we are humbled by. We’ll always be testing new creations and techniques, whether at a state competition or for a special event, to bring the best and most authentic traditional wood fired smoked BBQ to you and your families. 

The name Blue Nose and logo were created in order to recognize the bond between Harvey, a Blue Nose Pitbull, and Dean, who rescued the pup from flood waters in Houston during Hurricane Harvey in 2017. 

We bring specific attention to the “Team Teddy” designation on the Pit. This salutes a beloved Son, whose impact on the world and memory, will forever be etched in his timeless message. “MAKE TODAY A MASTERPIECE” Teddy, until we meet again.
